You'll design fire sprinkler systems that protect real buildings and real people—and you'll do it with precision, not guesswork. If you have 3–5 years hands-on fire sprinkler design experience and you know NFPA 13, 13R, and ESFR inside out, this permanent role in Rivonia offers you the chance to work on complex warehouse and standpipe systems with a team that values technical depth.
✨ About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a fire protection engineering firm. You'll own the design and documentation of code-compliant fire sprinkler systems—from routine warehouse layouts to intricate ESFR and standpipe configurations. You'll run hydraulic calculations, manage fabrication workflows, and liaise with project teams to resolve real-world installation challenges. Full training on AutoSPRINK software is provided, so you'll have the tools you need to deliver accurate, compliant designs every time.
🏗️ What you'll do
- Design and document detailed fire sprinkler systems to NFPA 13, 13R, and 14 standards
- Develop complex ESFR warehouse systems and standpipe designs
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and manage stock/fabrication procedures
- Design fire pump systems integrated with sprinkler layouts
- Work with project teams to resolve design-installation conflicts and optimize timelines
- Contribute to estimating, proposals, and equipment procurement
🧠 What you'll bring
- 3–5 years of hands-on fire sprinkler and fire pump design (not theory—real projects)
- Deep, practical knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 14, and ESFR compliance
- Expert-level hydraulic calculation skills
- Strong proficiency in HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or Revit
- Excellent English communication, written and verbal
- Attention to code detail and problem-solving under deadline
